Kyle Cedotal is an American baseball coach, former professional baseball player, and respected mentor in player development. Known for his passion for the game and commitment to developing athletes at all levels, Cedotal has built a diverse career as both a competitor and leader on and off the field.
Cedotal grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana, and excelled in baseball at Denham Springs High School before playing collegiately at Southeastern Louisiana University. At Southeastern Louisiana, he was a standout two-way player — contributing as both an outfielder and pitcher — and earned multiple honors including All-Southland Conference and national recognitions during his collegiate career.
In 2016, Cedotal was selected in the 20th round of the MLB Draft by the Colorado Rockies, launching his professional career. He pitched in the Rockies’ system and in independent leagues over several seasons before transitioning from playing to coaching and development.
Following his playing career, Cedotal moved into coaching, serving in roles including hitting coach, head coach at the high school level, and associate head coach — all focused on helping young players improve their skills and achieve competitive success. He served as Head Baseball Coach at Vermilion Catholic High School, Associate Head Coach at Lafayette High School, and Head Coach at Slidell High School, where he emphasized player development, program culture, and competitive excellence.
In addition to his on-field coaching, Cedotal works in athlete recruitment and scouting. He serves as a National Coach and Scout with United Baseball, assisting athletes in navigating opportunities at the collegiate and professional levels through evaluations, placements, and development support.
In 2026, Kyle Cedotal joined the baseball coaching staff at Belhaven University as an Assistant Baseball Coach for the Blazers, a NCAA Division III program competing in the Collegiate Conference of the South. In his role, he contributes to coaching strategy, player development, recruiting, and day-to-day program operations as part of a staff committed to building competitive, disciplined student-athletes.
