Malcolm Orgeron is an American baseball coach, recruiter, and scout with deep roots in Louisiana baseball and a strong commitment to player development at every level of the game. He currently serves as a Recruiter, Coach & Scout with United Baseball, where he uses his extensive playing and coaching background to help athletes pursue college and professional opportunities.
Originally from Waggaman, Louisiana, Orgeron played competitive baseball throughout his youth and continued his playing career at multiple collegiate programs, including Delgado Community College, Wharton Community College, and Nicholls State University. After college he also competed in independent baseball, gaining valuable experience on the field and further enhancing his understanding of the game.
Beyond his playing career, Orgeron has built a strong reputation as a coach and leader. He served as Pitching Coach at John Curtis Christian School, where he helped develop young athletes, and later ran a post-grad baseball program that competed against junior college and NAIA JV teams — giving players advanced competition and exposure.
Off the field, Orgeron and his wife Jodie are also owners of Louisiana Christian School in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, reflecting their investment in both the academic and athletic development of youth in their community. Faith and family are central to his approach, and his enthusiastic, supportive coaching style has made him a valuable mentor to many players.
Within United Baseball, Orgeron is known for his high-energy presence at games and showcases, where he evaluates, recruits, and advocates for athletes. He has played a key role in helping eligible players secure advancement opportunities year after year, with a strong track record of facilitating placements into collegiate and professional programs.
Orgeron’s influence also extends into youth summer baseball, where he coaches United Baseball’s Extreme 19 Scout team, helping guide elite players through high-level competition and exposure events.
