Global Scouting Bureau Navigates Post Pandemic World

The year 2020 and the global COVID-19 pandemic ushered in a new era of baseball. While the general elements of the game have stayed the same, the way we move through the sport as players, coaches, advisors, parents, fans, etc. has changed drastically. Global Scouting Bureau did not waiver in the face of such adversity like cancelled seasons, no spectators at games, or reduced rosters. GSB proudly advocated for safe return to play, and still managed to place over 200 athletes within the next level of their respective careers. The pandemic also shut down much of the independent and international placements, but GSB continued to operate and network with teams in preparation for a return to normal. By 2021 international teams started to resume the importation of Foreign athletes. GSB assisted in disseminating new and ever changing information on country by country rule changes. The return to play also created supply chain issues in baseball, from the NJCAA to all division of the NCAA, and all the way to the MLB. Rule changes and litigations were (and still are) changing the game.
