Eric Hal

Bio

Eric Hal is a seasoned baseball professional whose career spans more than three decades across playing, coaching, scouting, and player development. A former collegiate and professional athlete, Hal began his journey at Harper High School in Chicago before continuing at the University of South Carolina Aiken. In 1990, he was selected by the Cincinnati Reds, going on to compete for nearly a decade at the Double-A level with the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Following his playing career, Hal transitioned seamlessly into the business of baseball, dedicating his expertise to developing and advancing athletes. He has coached at the travel level with respected organizations such as the All-Area Giants, Global Scouts, and Illinois Mavericks, while also providing individualized hitting instruction to players ranging from youth prospects to elite competitors. Since 2015, Hal has been an integral part of the Cubs RBI program, contributing as a coach for Cubs RBI All-Star teams since 2018—helping guide and expose players to higher levels of opportunity within the game.

At the high school level, Hal has made a measurable impact as an assistant coach at Lindblom Math and Science Academy and Lane Technical High School, playing a key role in leading the program to a 2024 CPS City Championship. His leadership reflects a commitment not only to team success, but to the long-term growth and visibility of his players.

Today, Hal remains deeply embedded in the sports industry as a college baseball scout and promoter with Athlete Marketers, while also serving as Head Coach of the Wild Factor Stoppers. Across every role, his focus is consistent—identifying talent, creating opportunities, and advancing players to the next level. Hal’s work continues to shape the future of the game by mentoring athletes and equipping them with the tools, exposure, and guidance needed to succeed both on and off the field.
