Xavier Alexander is a former collegiate infielder and accomplished professional whose career reflects a strong foundation of discipline, performance, and leadership both on and off the field.

During his time with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns baseball, Alexander made an immediate impact in the 2007 season, appearing in 49 games with 31 starts while anchoring the middle infield, primarily at second base. He posted an impressive .312 batting average and began the season with a remarkable 21-game hitting streak, tying for the second-longest streak in program history. Over the course of the season, he recorded 44 hits, including 10 extra-base hits, and delivered consistently in key moments with 10 multi-hit games and five multi-RBI performances.

Known for his clutch play, Alexander delivered one of the most memorable moments of the season with a pinch-hit solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning against Arkansas State, forcing extra innings. He further demonstrated his poise under pressure in postseason play, driving in the game-winning run with a ninth-inning double against Ohio State in the opening round of the NCAA College Station Regional.

Alexander’s path to Louisiana included two successful seasons at Paris Junior College, where he developed the skills and consistency that would define his collegiate career. He redshirted during the 2006 season, demonstrating patience and commitment to long-term development.

A native of New Iberia, Louisiana, Alexander was a four-year letterman at Westgate High School. He earned All-District honors twice and was named All-State in 2003, helping lead his team to multiple state playoff appearances.

Beyond athletics, Alexander has built a distinguished professional career and is a practicing attorney licensed in both Louisiana and Texas. His journey from standout athlete to legal professional underscores a continued commitment to excellence, preparation, and leadership.
